Students, faculty, and administrators around the country are taking the lead on encouraging their campuses and communities to participate in the 2020 Census. Ensuring a complete count is an important goal for colleges and universities for many reasons. Researchers benefit from accurate population data, students benefit from appropriately apportioned Pell Grants, and the whole campus community benefits from access to strong, well-funded public services. Additionally, the Census is a critical part of many schools’ missions to foster communities of civic leadership.
