2019-2020 Fellow Jonathan Friedman, the Director of PEN America’s Campus Free Speech Project, spoke at a free speech forum as part of UC Riverside’s 2020 Writers Week. In his talk, Friedman discussed his work promoting free speech and inclusion on campuses as well as the challenges of writing with nuance about higher education.
