The University of California has a longstanding history of promoting free speech and expression on campus. Guided by the University Policy on Speech and Advocacy and the Office of the President, each UC Campus crafts its own speech and expression policies and practices. Across the UC system, campuses are dedicated to clearly communicating these policies and working with their communities to cultivate inclusion, dialogue, and expression.

We have collected the speech and expression policies from each UC campus, as well as many of the resources they provide, to encourage safe and meaningful expression.
