ABOUT THE RESEARCH

During my initial Fellows project, I conducted interview research with faculty members who had experienced targeted harassment and used the findings to develop a series of workshops about the issue and supporting individuals during these incidents. For this Senior Fellows project, I put the workshops into practice with campus constituents at three different institution types: a research institution, a teaching institution, and a community college. I also engaged in several processes to further hone the content: 1) collecting evaluation feedback from workshop participants, 2) joining conferences and taking part in panel discussions with other scholars and practitioners to push our ideas further, and 3) continuing interviews with those who have experienced targeted harassment and focusing on questions about the ways in which campuses can better prepare for and support faculty and staff during incidents of targeted harassment. Lastly, I reviewed the existing plans, guides, and resources that some campuses have created about the issue of targeted harassment.

Collectively, these two projects produced a wealth of data with findings written up over time. As journal articles and other materials are published from this research, links to articles will be available here.
